Production of rubber latex
The rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis known originially from the Brazilian rainforest. It is the most commercially exploited to extract the rubber tree. Many other plants have sap that is similar to rubber sap, but no of them have been used commercially to date. Whenever the price of rubber increased, scientists come up with many opportunities for the use of other plants for commercial extraction of rubber.
Culture and extraction of rubber is very laborious and can be done only when a reasonable cost labor is available. The rubber plantation industry is highly concentrated in Asian countries South East – including India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. These countries have an ideal climate for the cultivation of Hevea brasiliensis and they also have cheap labor compared to developed countries.
As manufacturers of rubber products, we Cocolatex to be pleased if new trees and plantations are developed. This will help the industry improve and also to provide products value to consumers. But we note that scientific research activities and culture tends to disappear when the price falls beyond rubber a point. Today, the economies of developing Asian countries are quite fast and the demand for rubber – particularly in parts such as automobile tires – is growing at a breakneck pace. Therefore the price of rubber reached record levels again.
The material most often replaced by natural rubber is rubber synthethic, which is extracted from petroleum products. Of course, it's another history, with many implications. The dominant industries mattress in many parts of the world use synthetic latex, or at times, mixtures of synthetic latex with small amounts of natural rubber.
